💼 Job Description - UX/UI Designer (Temp. Cover)

For a large international fashion company, we are looking for an experienced UX/UI Designer to join the team on a temporary basis to cover a maternity leave. In this role, you will play a key part in optimizing live e-commerce platforms and enhancing the overall digital customer experience.

You will operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, collaborating closely with stakeholders across Product, Engineering, and Brand. This position requires a high level of autonomy, allowing you to make an impact from day one.

🚀 The role

As a UX/UI Designer, you will focus on the continuous improvement of existing e-commerce platforms. You will analyze user behavior, translate insights into actionable design solutions, and ensure an optimal balance between brand identity, usability, and commercial performance.

Your responsibilities include:

• Designing and refining user flows, wireframes, and UI components
• Creating high-fidelity designs and prototypes in Figma
• Translating business needs and user insights into effective design solutions
• Collaborating closely with product, development, and brand teams
• Iterating designs based on data, A/B testing, and user feedback
• Applying and maintaining design systems and consistency across touchpoints
• Supporting smooth handoff and delivery to development teams

✅ What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a UX/UI Designer, preferably within e-commerce
• Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end digital product design
• Proficiency in Figma and modern design workflows
• Solid understanding of UX principles, responsive design, and accessibility
• Experience working with and scaling design systems
• A data-driven mindset (experience with A/B testing and user insights)
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, agile environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

📍 Practical information

• Location: Amsterdam (hybrid working model)
• Hours: 24 hours per week
• Start date: ASAP
• Duration: 3 months (maternity cover)
• Contract type: Secondment only (no freelancers)
