Senior Project Manager - Flights Department
Role Overview
Key Responsibilities
- (Where applicable) Manage and develop a small team of Project Managers in Amsterdam, in line with leadership principles
- Apply structured project and change management methodologies
- Own the successful delivery of the end‑to‑end project lifecycle
- Independently lead low to medium complexity, cross‑functional projects with global impact
- Drive execution, analysis, recommendations and implementation
- Apply change management processes and tools to support adoption of project outcomes
- Engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, including collaboration with business units and corporate support teams
- Communicate project insights, progress and recommendations clearly across stakeholders
- Identify, define and scope opportunities with limited supervision
- Drive project scoping and planning, documenting goals, KPIs, roadmaps and deliverables
- Track and report progress and create clear planning documentation with involved departments
- Manage risks, dependencies and milestones
- Ensure proper project closure and handover to business‑as‑usual teams
- Effectively interact with stakeholders up to Director level

Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Advanced relevant job knowledge: 5-8 years of experience
Required Knowledge & Skills
- Strong familiarity with project and change management approaches, tools and lifecycle phases
- Ability to lead multiple low to medium complexity projects or a project portfolio
- Solid understanding of the change curve and change management processes
- Strong relationship‑building skills across teams and stakeholder groups
- Ability to influence stakeholders up to Director level
- Strong communication skills in 1:1 and small‑group settings
- Flexible and adaptable; comfortable working in ambiguous environments and under pressure
- Highly organised with a natural inclination for planning strategy and execution
- Ability to use quantitative and qualitative data to support decision‑making
- Strategic thinker with strong problem‑solving and root cause analysis skills
- Basic business acumen and understanding of organisational challenges
- Experience with large‑scale organisational change is an advantage
- Knowledge of similar industries or business projects is an advantage
- PMP, Agile Project Management or equivalent certification is preferred
