The emergence of blockchain and the significant and novel impact of the technology after saw a need to create an industry voice.

The Voice of Blockchain in Singapore

With an increase in the rate of hackings and exchange crashes in 2014 as well, this voice would work with the government and regulators to legitimise blockchain, cut through the multiple barriers of the new technology and limit the risks associated.

ACCESS

In May 2014, ACCESS, the Singapore Cryptocurrency and Blockchain Industry Association was established to promote and protect the use and development of digital currencies and blockchain technologies. ACCESS became the voice of the technology behind blockchain with the idea that this technology can be developed for more than digital currencies. As a non-profit organisation and a fully registered society with the Registry of Societies under the Ministry of Home Affairs, ACCESS, in association with the global blockchain forum, shape the blockchain eco-system and are positioned across the wider industry to protect a variety of blockchain companies in Singapore and overseas.

With strong partnerships across the globe and leading financial hubs, start-ups looking to enter Singapore can connect with ACCESS across their country specific blockchain associations. The next goal for ACCESS is to expand global memberships and continue providing support to the global blockchain forum in order to nurture different associations in Singapore.
