Senior Merchandiser Menswear Outerwear

Amsterdam | Full-time | Temporary Assignment (5 months)

For one of our leading fashion retail clients we're looking for a senior merchandiser to support their team. As Senior Merchandiser Menswear Outerwear, you will drive category strategy, develop commercially successful assortments, and work closely with cross functional teams to deliver consumer focused collections across multiple channels. This position offers the opportunity to combine analytical expertise, market insight, and commercial thinking in a fast paced international environment.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute category strategies for menswear outerwear, supporting growth, profitability, and brand objectives.
• Build and manage commercially successful assortments across wholesale, retail, and digital channels.
• Analyze consumer behavior, market trends, and business performance to identify opportunities and recommend actions.
• Translate data and insights into clear product recommendations and seasonal strategies.
• Collaborate closely with Design, Product Development, Sourcing, Sales, Marketing, Buying, and Planning teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Support the development of seasonal collections that align with commercial targets and customer demand.
• Manage multiple projects and seasonal calendars simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Merchandising or Buying, preferably within Menswear Outerwear.
• Strong commercial mindset with a proven track record of driving business performance and achieving key commercial KPIs.
• Ability to analyze large datasets and translate findings into actionable business insights.
• Experience within eCommerce or Direct to Consumer environments is a plus.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working with cross functional teams.
• Highly organized, detail oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with PLM systems is an advantage.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Passion for fashion, menswear, and product development.
