Overview

A global financial services firm is looking for a systems-focused specialist to support its Japan operations. The role combines system support, data management, and operational responsibilities within an insurance/reinsurance environment.

This position is suited to someone who can bridge business operations and technical systems, working with data, internal tools, and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Support policy administration and operational processes
• Assist with system maintenance, enhancements, and upgrades
• Provide application support and troubleshoot issues
• Work with large datasets, including validation and reporting
• Maintain and manage core business data (e.g., risk and premium data)
• Support internal stakeholders with data and reporting needs
• Contribute to process improvement and system optimization initiatives

Requirements

Core Skills

• Strong Excel and SQL capabilities
• Experience handling and analyzing large datasets
• Background in insurance or reinsurance operations
• Ability to handle both technical and operational tasks
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset

Preferred

• Experience in Life & Health insurance
• Exposure to data management and calculations related to risk or premiums
• Involvement in system-related projects (development or enhancements)
• Familiarity with BI tools or programming (e.g., Power BI, Python)
