Data Architecture Lead

This position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise-wide technology transformation, define target-state data architecture, and partner with senior stakeholders across business and technology functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive enterprise-wide data architecture strategy, standards, and target operating models.
• Develop conceptual, logical, and enterprise data models aligned with business objectives.
• Design modern cloud-based data platforms, including Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, Data Marts, and enterprise data ecosystems.
• Establish architecture standards, governance frameworks, reference architectures, and best practices.
• Lead data integration initiatives leveraging APIs, ETL processes, streaming technologies, and enterprise data pipelines.
• Drive enterprise Data Governance, Data Quality, Metadata Management, and Master Data Management (MDM) programs.
• Define security, privacy, access control, and compliance standards for enterprise data assets.
• Enable AI, Machine Learning, Generative AI, and advanced analytics use cases through scalable data architecture.
• Partner with executives, architecture teams, data science organizations, and business stakeholders to define enterprise data strategy.
• Mentor and guide Data Architects, Data Engineers, and technical teams on architecture best practices.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Information Architecture, Enterprise Data Platforms, or Data Engineering.
• Strong expertise in conceptual and logical data modeling, enterprise data design, and data lifecycle management.
• Hands-on experience designing enterprise-scale cloud data platforms using AWS and modern data technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Databricks, Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, and cloud-native data architectures.
• Experience designing large-scale ETL, API-based integration, data streaming, and enterprise data pipeline solutions.
• Expertise in Data Governance, Metadata Management, Data Quality, Information Management, and Analytics platforms.
• Experience implementing or governing Master Data Management (MDM), data integration, and data quality solutions.
• Strong understanding of data security, privacy, compliance, and enterprise governance frameworks.
• Business-level Japanese and business-level English communication skills.

Preferred

• Experience within Financial Services, Insurance, Banking, Asset Management, Healthcare, or other highly regulated industries.
• Exposure to AI, Machine Learning, Generative AI, and enterprise analytics platforms.
• Experience partnering with CIOs, executive leadership teams, and global architecture organizations.
• Background leading enterprise data modernization, cloud transformation, or digital transformation programs.
• Experience influencing enterprise-wide technology strategy and managing multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously.
• Knowledge of Data Mesh, Data Fabric, Lakehouse Architecture, and modern cloud data governance frameworks.
