Business Overview

The Technology Management Division (TMD) provides Corporate IT, and Cyber Security & Privacy Governance to our Group companies and essential business management for technology organisations, thereby enabling innovation and strengthening the technology foundation. Within TMD, the Technology Management Services Supervisory Department (TMSSD) plays a vital role in CIO Governance, IT financial management, IT procurement, Quality Management System, technology-related public relations, and human resources strategy. By promoting efficiency, quality, risk management, and organisational strength, we ensure that Tech Divisions remain agile and at the forefront of technological advancement.

Department Overview

The IT Planning Department (ITPD) plays a critical role in contributing to Group's business success through effective IT finance management. We are responsible for the management accounting of development costs (Tech costs), encompassing budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and comprehensive reporting. This ensures financial transparency, accuracy, operational efficiency through system development, and the strategic alignment of IT investments with organisational objectives.

Position Details

As our global technology organisation continues its significant expansion, we are seeking an accomplished and experienced Senior Manager to lead our IT Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function. This pivotal role involves managing a large, geographically dispersed team and driving financial excellence across our technology divisions. Key Responsibilities

• Global Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing FP&A team of approximately 60 professionals across Japan, India, and China, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement

• Strategic Financial Planning: Own the development and execution of comprehensive financial plans for all departments within the Technology division, aligning financial strategies with overall business objectives
• Performance Analysis & Reporting: Oversee robust Budget Actual analysis and deliver insightful financial reports to key stakeholders, highlighting performance trends, variances, and strategic recommendations
• Executive Stakeholder Management: Cultivate strong relationships and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, particularly CIO, CTO, and other senior executives within the Technology division, providing critical financial insights and strategic guidance
• Operational Excellence: Drive continuous improvement initiatives for daily operations through the application of the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycle, enhancing efficiency and accuracy in financial processes

Qualifications:

• Extensive Leadership Experience: Proven experience in managing and operating large, complex organisations, including resource management for teams of 15 or more individuals, multi-project oversight, task delegation, and performance evaluation
• Financial Expertise: Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in Administration and Planning, Business Strategy, Management Accounting, and/or Financial Accounting
• Analytical Acumen: Strong data analytic skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into practical insights
• Executive Communication: Demonstrated ability to work closely and communicate effectively with C-level and executive-level stakeholders
• Ownership & Change Leadership: A strong sense of ownership, a proactive approach to change management, and a commitment to driving organisational improvements

• Team Development: A strong sense of responsibility and a genuine commitment to the growth and success of team members
• Financial & Management Accounting Knowledge: In-depth understanding of financial and management accounting principles
• Proactive Communication: Exceptional proactive communication skills, capable of fostering collaboration and driving alignment across diverse teams
• Japanese: JLPT N1 level or above (or equivalent business fluency)
• English: Fluent English

Desired Qualifications:

• Certification such as Nissho Bookkeeping (2nd Grade) or US CPA
• Prior experience within an IT company or a technology department of a large enterprise
• Over 1 year of dedicated FP&A experience, regardless of industry
