Backend Engineer - AI for Business

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to design and develop scalable systems that support AI-driven applications. In this role, you will work on high-performance APIs, integrate multiple large language model (LLM) providers, and build reliable infrastructures that meet strict requirements for latency, security, and scalability.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in a global environment and contribute to AI-powered systems used by millions of users.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures
• Build and maintain scalable backend systems for AI applications
• Develop intelligent systems with LLM integration, including fallback and switching mechanisms
• Implement advanced AI workflows such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and agent-based systems
• Design and manage data models, including vector databases and embedding pipelines
• Ensure system reliability through monitoring, logging, testing (TDD), and security best practices
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to deliver production-ready AI solutions
