Job Description: Business Project Manager (Banking Sector)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Business Project Manager to lead and coordinate business delivery across multiple squads within a complex banking environment. The role focuses on end-to-end functional consistency, stakeholder coordination, and delivery governance, with a strong emphasis on retail banking processes and large-scale transformation programs.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Delivery Management

• Define and maintain a comprehensive business delivery plan, including timelines, resources, and deliverables
• Orchestrate and coordinate business delivery activities across multiple Agile squads
• Ensure alignment between domain roadmap and squad backlogs, avoiding duplication and inconsistencies
• Manage end-to-end (E2E) functional consistency and completeness across processes, epics, and providers
• Support project phases from design through to go-live and BAU handover

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and manage a team of Business Analysts, including:
  • Performance follow-up and coaching
  • Resource planning and anticipation
• Provide guidance to Lead Business Analysts across squads
• Foster collaboration and communication within the business and project teams

Stakeholder & Communication Management

• Act as the main point of contact between:
  • Program Management
  • Business teams
  • Development and testing teams
• Ensure smooth communication and alignment across all stakeholders
• Manage relationships with external providers and other development teams

Coordination & Governance

• Oversee and coordinate multiple backlogs across the domain
• Represent the functional stream in interactions with:
  • Operations (validation, onboarding preparation)
  • Testing, data migration, and development teams
• Ensure proper functional design governance and delivery quality

Issue & Escalation Management

• Lead escalation resolution and deep dives on critical functional issues
• Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation actions
• Manage functional coordination and escalations with providers

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, IT, or a related field

Professional Experience

• Proven experience as a Project Manager on large-scale, complex projects
• Strong knowledge of Retail Banking processes and operations
• Experience in Core Banking system implementations is a strong asset
• Experience working in Agile environments with multiple squads
